Clown Fundamentals with John Beale

A weekly clown class is starting March 1st. Participants will go on a 10 week journey to find their clown. Every Sunday evening from 5-8 at Sweet Action. March 1 to May 3rd. Join us for a showcase soirée this spring!

This work helps us get unstuck. It teaches us to listen, to re-discover play, not to push too much or shy away but to let go and be attuned to the moment. You will discover your special quality that connects you to others, how to be present and engaging to an audience. It's a rudimentary practice for any performer.

John Beale is a teacher and award-winning actor based in Toronto. He is a graduate of the Philippe Gaulier International Theatre School in Paris. He has trained, performed and taught extensively as a company member at the internationally acclaimed Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts.
As part of the faculty at Humber College, George Brown College, Seneca at York University, Randolph College for the Performing Arts and the Toronto Film School he teaches acting, scene study, improv and clown. He is a master clown teacher and has been holding publicly offered performance workshops and coaching actors since 2005.
